Optimizing the Performance of your Mallard 2800

How to Optimize the Performance of your Mallard 2800C or CP
One of the most important aspects of using any machine is ensuring that all connections are properly set up. Incorrect connections can lead to confusion, frustration and ultimately, failure of the machine to function as intended. In this article, we will go over the proper connections that should be made on the back of your machine to guarantee it runs efficiently.
Electrical Power Cord: The first connection to make is your power cord. Make sure that it's plugged into the proper outlet. 120 Volts AC is the standard US plug supplied with this machine but with the right 220V adaptor it will work fine and automatically switch over to compensate for the supplied voltage in your region.
Large Animal Side: If you're working with large animals, the black hose with orange connector should be connected on the right side of the large absorber block at the mating orange connection. The blue connector with the clear hose on the back should go from the top box down to the lower box blue connections.
Small Animal Side: When working with small animals, the black hose with the orange connector should be switched over and connected on the left side of the smaller Pediatric unit. Additionally, switching to the small animal side requires the blue connector on the clear hose to be removed from the lower box on the large animal side and placed into the back of the Pediatric unit at the blue mating connection on the back.
Proper Connections: The machine connections are labeled to ensure proper connections and most of the connections are already made prior to receiving your new equipment however it can be helpful to refer to your manual on occasion to refresh your memory on the proper connections from time to time since different people may work on the same equipment.
Conclusion: It's essential to have a good understanding of the connections on your machine to ensure that it runs smoothly. If you're not sure, reference the connections outlined in this article and in the manual provided with your machine at the time of purchase, to make sure that everything is properly set up. By following these guidelines and checking your connection prior to use can ensure optimal performance and avoid any issues with your machine.
